South Swindon MP Sir Robert Buckland and North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson would like to congratulate two individuals and one fantastic team at Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on winning the NHS Parliamentary Awards.
Amongst the winners are the Swindon Integrated Care Alliance Coordination Centre which has been recognised in the Excellence in Urgent and Emergency Care category, as well as Consultant Nurse Bev Breen who has won the regional Nursing and Midwifery Award.
The winners were successful among seven hundred nominees made up from right across the country and will now go on to represent the region at the national awards on the NHS’ 75th anniversary.
Sir Robert Buckland MP said:
“Over the past 75 years, the NHS has provided vital health care across the UK, this could not have been achieved without our NHS staff who devote their time to caring for others.
“I would like to congratulate our winners and thank all of the wonderful staff at Great Western Hospital for their hard work and dedication, which makes a real difference to the lives of so many in our town, Including me and my family.”
Justin Tomlinson MP said:
"The NHS parliamentary awards is always one of the highlights of the year as we get to celebrate the fantastic, dedicated work put in by our local NHS heroes. Having recently had two daughters at the GHW, I know just how incredible all of the staff at the hospital are and I am glad that we can honour some of them in this way.”
