Along with Cllr Suresh Gattapur, I have been campaigning on behalf of local residents for the reopening of the West Swindon Post Office since the branch first closed.
We are therefore very pleased that the Post Office has announced that the branch will be re-opening on Friday 15th September at the new location - Unit B2B West Swindon District Centre, Swindon, SN5 7DL

Many local residents in West Swindon rely on the services provided by the West Swindon Post Office, particularly elderly residents and those with mobility issues.
Update: 16th February 2023
Both myself and Cllr Suresh Gattapur are in regular contact with the Post Office about the new branch for the West Swindon Centre. The plans for the new post office are still progressing well and we hope to have some news soon about an opening date.
Update: Wednesday 25th January 2023
The postmaster has received news this morning that the landlord has agreed use of the premises for West Swindon Post Office. This is good news and means we can move forward.
"The next step is to finalise the paperwork for the premises and send a contract to the postmaster. Once signed we can release the details of the premises and the new branch."

Along with Cllr Suresh Gattapur, I have been informed by the Post Office that there is an interested applicant.
We have been in touch with the Applicant and the Post Office and offered our full support to both parties.
In the meantime, we will continue to push hard for the Post Office to be reopened and keep local residents fully updated.
