South Swindon MP, Robert Buckland has visited KAPADA Vintage in Swindon’s Old Town, as part of his ongoing Local Business Support Campaign.
KAPADA is an online and brick-and-mortar boutique, located on Devizes Road.
Formed in 2016, the local independent retailer sells a collection of hand-picked vintage clothing, accessories, and independent gifts.
Owner, Ellen feels strongly about helping the environment where possible and says:
“When you buy from me, you’re not only getting a great quality item, but you are also buying something with a story behind it and that’s going to be reloved.”
KAPADA also belongs to the Friends of Old Town Scheme and are passionate about supporting other local businesses, stocking a range of independent brands made in Swindon. Owner, Ellen commented:
“Old Town is such a thriving community; we are lucky to have so many independent businesses and a very supportive customer base.
"I hope that Old Town will continue to attract visitors and go from strength to strength.
“I am so proud to be an Old Town business. Many of my customers have become friends. They don't just pop in to buy something, they will stay for a cuppa and a chat and that's one of the many reasons small businesses stand out."
Following the visit, Robert said:
“I was delighted to visit KAPADA Vintage, as part of my ongoing Local Business Support Campaign.
“Owner, Ellen, offers an impressive selection of vintage clothing, candles, and other household items, and I am very pleased that she has brought something extra to our High Street.
“Like many of the other local independent businesses here in Old Town, KAPADA Vintage have signed up to the Friends of Old Town Scheme, offering a range of discounts to members.
