Sir Robert Buckland MP is celebrating the work of charities that provide vital support to local communities in South Swindon as part of Small Charity Week 19 – 23 June.
During the Covid-19 pandemic and the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, small charities have been the lifeblood of communities in England. Small Charity Week is a chance to say thank you, and also raise awareness of the importance of supporting local charities through donations, fundraising and volunteering.
Sir Robert said: “I am so grateful to the small and local charities here in the town who work tirelessly for local communities, and as part of my ongoing commitment to support local charities here in Swindon, I run a Local Charity of the Week Campaign.
“As part of my campaign, each week I select a local charity and promote their work in my weekly column, in the local media, and on my social media pages.
