My local charity of the week is DASH (Discovering Autistic Spectrum Happiness). This brilliant local charity aims to help autistic people in Swindon to live happier and more fulfilled lives.
Dash’s primary aims are to:
Raise awareness of Autism;
Promote and enhance access to assessment and diagnosis, post diagnosis support, welfare and care, housing, education and employment;
Research, promote and help to deliver a local model of support and services.
In this way the charity will help people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions to enjoy safer, healthier, more sociable, more productive and happier lives
DASH provides a range of services and support to help autistic adults navigate the challenges of life.
DASH provides information and support to help autistic people to socialise, as well as access to other local agencies. This includes information about housing, welfare rights, employment, health, and debt.
