During his time as an MP, Sir Robert has campaigned hard for the rights of those with autism and other neurodivergent individuals, and so he is very proud to have been elected as Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Autism today, during Neurodiversity Celebration Week.
The group aims to raise awareness of autism in Parliament, and to campaign and lobby for increased awareness and improved support for people with autism and their carers.
Neurodiversity Celebration Week challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences and aims to change the narrative to understand, accept, and celebrate neurodiversity. More information can be found here: https://www.neurodiversityweek.com/
