Robert Buckland MP has visited staff at the Royal Mail sorting office in Swindon this week to thank them for their hard work over the busy Christmas period and see the new parcel sorting machine in action.
Over the festive period, Royal Mail is expected to deliver over 120 million parcels across the country and hires around 19,000 extra staff.
Robert commented: ‘’I enjoyed visiting the Swindon Royal Mail depot to see the massive Christmas post and parcel rush and the new sorting machine.
“I wanted to personally thank the dedicated staff for all of their hard work over the festive period. They work around the clock at this time to ensure that all of our cards and presents are delivered in time for Christmas.’’
